A Day out with Keys missed
Myself and Sonia had few words thrown at each other as to why she would have to carry an extra set of keys with her even though we knew that I was carrying a set anyway. Well there is goes ! The need of having someone as a backup was well understood.
Both of us went out (with Sonia expecting me to have a set of keys, while she left it back home as she did not have pockets to carry) and Sonia asked me to give me my keys to have the second lock up. I was without my keys and we had a day on. We are out with door locked behind us with the first lock and there is no key with us out in the cold. I had to send Sonia back to the Biplob Bhai's house since it was not very comfortable outside. I went up to the Co-op, asking ways out. The man from the Co-op told us it was better to ask the University Students' Union about this since it is not very wise to break the glasses. It might end up with too high a fine to pay. However, Students' Union advised me to contact Security, Security asked me to contact Control Room and Control Room asked me to contact LockSmith. And LockSmith asked for a 2 hour time ! How boring !
I was worried and I had to find ways. Next to our door is "The Gate Pub". I entered the pub for the very first time, asked the till lady for the backdoor of the pub, which is connected to our backdoor. I found a tool from them which is good to give me a height from where I can jump down to my backyard. I entered the backyard but had no clue about how little damage could help me out of this. I had to bang the door more than half an hour but carefully so that I could make a way. I also made few attempts of getting through the kitchen, but failed to do so. Thanks God ! The day was saved. Locksmith was phoned to sit back home and take rest.
The lesson is : "Believe in Redundancy, Because you'd never know when you are DOWN and FORGOTTEN".

Bad Start, 2007
2007 starts really badly. Two of my ex-students, Siddique and Razib, who also happened to be very close to me, died in a road accident on 13th January, 2007 in Bangladesh. They were driving on the approach road to Cox's Bazar. Such is the nature of death, it came in the form of a haunting big bus that did not do any mistake in overrunning their car. Siddique and Razib died on the spot. The other one, Tazik, was in the driving seat, had serious injuries. Hope he would return back to normal soon. Still hoping to hear good news that he gets back okay.
Siddique and I had a talk on YAHOO back on 9th, 2007. He wanted to give me a phone call (probably for the last time) but I asked him not to make such an expensive call. He promised to call me later, which will never happen....
Siddique was a very politely behaved guy, he preferred talking about recent technologies, he kept aloof from complexities and always had high passion for computing and IT. He started working with Standard Chartered Bank and he started to roll on with the family that had miseries when his father died earlier.
Razib was probably one of the most gently spoken guys I have seen. Very decent and still poised to talk about what he wanted, who just finished his Masters from Australia had this fate to happen in five days. His return back home and a premature death leaves us to raise voice for "road safety".... but it is much too late now.
May the Creator bless their souls and rest their souls in peace. And May Tazik get back to normal and smiles just as loudly as he always does....

Raisa on our Wedding Anniversary
From Raisa Moni |
From Raisa Moni |
The pics of Raisa are self explanatory as to how happy she was on the day of our anniversary. But it all got really bad when the fish bone accident happened, we could not keep her silent the whole night. She cried a lot....and lots of crying meant that she had cold for the next few days. What an anniversary!
Anniversary and An Unexpected
2007 happened to be our first year when we could finally mark our third anniversary together. Sonia had passion for this day just as I had, as well. It all went well, lot's of flowers and so much to receive with so less number of people we mix with. Sonia had her two sarees as gift of anniversary. From her impressions, it seemed that she liked one that is of light yellowish green colour but not the blue one.
We invited our friends, Rafat and Protul, Biplob Bhai and Urmie Bhabi to come to our house. We were never too passionate to spoil our time cooking, so we planned for a set dinner to be bought from a nearby food store. It started to go well, snaps, talks and funs being thrown. Raisa was very happy to have her favourite mamas Priththi and Protul. Raisa loves to have them any time and she forgets all sort of things when she is with them.
It was almost over but not yet. Raisa had to take some food. With all of us chatting and Raisa having fish in the middle of all, suddenly she started to clog and started to make sounds, followed by vomiting... The inevitable that happened was she had got fish bones stuck in her throats... it was the cat fish.
